The Old North Church, Boston

Paul Revere's signals came from lanterns in Christ Church (also known as the Old North Church) in Boston's North End. This sketch depicts its appearance, c. 1882, with its second steeple (built, in 1807, after the first one was destroyed in 1804).

The second steeple was also destroyed (in 1954).
