Adrian IV - English-Born Pope

Pope Adrian IV (c. 1100-1159), who wore the papal crown between 1154-59, was the only English-born pope.  His birth name was Nicholas Breakspear, and he began life in the town of St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.
