Apollo 11 - "We are Go for Launch"On the 16th of July, 1969, American astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin ("Buzz") Aldrin and Michael Collins were launched into space. Their mission - known as Apollo 11 - was to land on the Moon and safely return to Earth.
