Aristotle's Birthplace - Ancient Town of Stageira

Aristotle, the famous philosopher and teacher of Alexander the Great, was born in Stageira.  Today, that ancient town is located in the Greek prefecture of Chalcidice [also called Halkidiki], Central Macedonia District, just north of the current village of Stagira.
