Atlanta - Union Soldiers Devastate the City

After General Sherman's Union soldiers captured Atlanta, in November of 1864, they destroyed the city's depots and buildings in which Southerners produced war materiel.  This illustration - from Harper's Weekly - depicts such a scene.
