Auschwitz - Gas Chamber Ruins

As the Soviet Army approached Auschwitz-Birkenau, to liberate it in January of 1945, the Nazis tried to destroy evidence of what had happened at this place of horrors. This photograph, now maintained in the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum Archives, shows gas chamber ruins.
