Babri Mosque - Demolition
On the 6th of December, 1992, a large crowd of Hindu activists gathered for a demonstration at the Babri Mosque. Although the event was supposed to be peaceful, things deteriorated and the crowd demolished the 16th-century mosque. This picture, online courtesy Sunni News, shows the mosque immediately before it was ruined.
