Berlin - Final Days of the Battle of BerlinThree impregnable anti-aircraft towers direct their heavy guns at the approaching Soviet men. They cannot be taken out, so the Red Army must work their way around them. Berliners hide in their cellars as the city's defenders have shrinking territory to protect. Roaming SS men execute Germans no longer willing to die for Hitler. Closing in on the Reichstag, Soviet troops push on with reckless courage. Extraordinary numbers of soldiers die as they do their best to capture Berlin before May Day celebrations in Moscow. Hitler, meanwhile, appoints his successor and marries Eva Braun. It is his first marriage and will last about twenty-four hours. CreditsFrom the Battle of Berlin, online courtesy The History Channel.
