Briseis to Agamemnon - Fresco by Tiepolo

This fresco interprets a scene from the Iliad.  Agamemnon, the king, has demanded that Achilles turn over Briseis (a war prize) to him.  The woman is brought to Agamemnon by two soldiers - Eurybates and Talthybios.  In the background are Greek-army tents.

Giovanni Battista Tiepolo painted this fresco in 1757.  It measures 300 x 280 cm (118 x 100 inches) and is at the Villa Valmarana in Venice, Italy.
