Bullet, Probe and Skull Fragments

Dr. Joseph K. Barnes performed an autopsy on Abraham Lincoln.  During the process, he used the probe (shown in this picture) to remove the single ball which had killed the President.  He also removed fragments of Mr. Lincoln's skull, also seen above.

These items are now maintained at the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Washington, D.C.
