Churchill - The Gathering Storm, Part 2

Clementine Churchill learns, for the first time, that her husband experienced heavy losses in the stock market crash.  The family, consequently, has lost a bit of its financial footing.  "Out of power, and no prospect of power," Churchill is concerned about other things than his own finances.  He's also worried about Hitler.

"England," he thinks, "is lost in a pacifist dream...and it's time they bloody woke up."  Most people, however, do not view things on the political front the way Churchill does.

Not everyone agrees with Churchill's analysis of events leading up to the war.  See, for example, this article by Professor John Charmley.
