300 - Immortals Cross the Water on Foot

In order to carry out his plan to invade and subject Greece, Xerxes had to move his army and supplies across the waters of the Hellespont.  He commanded his men to build a boat bridge so they could cross the waters on foot.  This drawing illustrates how that might have appeared.
