C.S. Lewis - With Paddy Moore During World War IThis image of C.S. Lewis was taken during World War I. He is shown here with his good friend, Paddy Moore, to whom he made a significant promise. If anything happened to Paddy, Jack Lewis would look after Mrs. Moore, Paddy's mother. Lewis was injured during the war, but Paddy died. Jack made good on his promise to look after Mrs. Moore - and did so, until her death. CreditsPhoto of C.S. Lewis and Paddy Moore, online courtesy C S Lewis Centenary Group.
