Curtain Rods Found at the Paine HomeWhen Oswald hitched a ride to work, the morning of the assassination, he told his driver the package he was carrying contained curtain rods for his boarding-house room. In fact, Ruth Paine (the owner of the rods) gave them to investigators after the shooting. Something long was in Oswald's package, but it could not have been the curtain rods.
