Charles Darwin - Darwin's Dangerous Idea, Part 2

While collecting specimen, at the Galapagos Islands, Charles Darwin did not correlate his "finds" with the name of the specific island where they were located.  Even so, he does his best to categorize them.

Talking with his brother Erasmus, with whom he has a very close relationship, Charles thinks through what will ultimately become a significant part of his evolutionary theory - that everything, and everyone, has a common ancestor.

NOVA, which first aired this documdrama, provides more background on it:

This program interweaves the drama in key moments of Darwin's life with documentary sequences of current research, linking past to present and introducing major concepts of evolutionary theory. It also explores why Darwin's "dangerous idea" matters perhaps even more today than it did in his own time.
