Declaration of Sentiments - No - Mechanic's Advocate

The "Female Department," of the Mechanic's Advocate, expresses disaste for women who seek equal treatment and the right to vote:

They [suffragists] affirm, as among their rights, that of unrestricted franchise, and assert that it is wrong to deprive them of the privilege to become legislators, lawyers, doctors, divines, etc. etc. ... Now it requires no argument to prove that this is all wrong.
