Deep Inside the Titanic, Part 2

Although not the deadliest shipwreck, Titanic remains one of the most famous. This clip, from a Discovery Channel documentary, investigates what happened during Titanic's fatal voyage. It combines evidence with testimony from survivors.

This part of the documentary includes an interview with Second Officer Lightoller. He calls the waiting iceberg "the death trap ahead of us."

Three sharp bells accompanied the cry, from the crow's nest, that an iceberg was dead ahead. Passengers describe what they saw when the ship struck the iceberg.
