Dharavi - Scene of Anti-Muslim Riots

Before the Babri Mosque was destroyed by Hindu activists, on the 6th of December 1992, Hindus and Muslims co-existed in Dharavi. Soon after the mosque was ruined, anti-Muslim riots descended on the shanty-town area of Bombay. People there, as elsewhere, were killed in the riots.
