Escape - Booth Jumps to Stage from Crime Scene

Booth flees the scene of the shooting by jumping from the State Box, at Ford's Theater, to the stage below.  He knew the place well having performed there, as an actor, many times.

This lithograph correctly shows that Ford's lower-box-seats were empty the night President Lincoln was assassinated.
