First Family at Hammersmith FarmJFK and his family often spent time at Hammersmith Farm during the summer. The Victorian mansion (located in Newport, Rhode Island) was also the place where Mrs. Kennedy spent summers (after her mother married Hugh D. Auchincloss, Jr.). This photo depicts the First Family inside the mansion.
