Stool-Ball, an 18th-Century Game

The First Worcester Edition of A Little Pretty Pocket-Book, Intended for the Instruction and Amusement of Little Master Tommy, and Pretty Miss Polly includes this picture and description of stool-ball, a children's game played in the eighteenth century.
