Galileo - Drawing of the MoonIn 1610, Galileo published Sidereus Nuncius (The Starry Messenger) which contained his drawing of the Moon. For the first time, as he noted on the title page, people could see the moon differently. It was neither smooth nor perfectly spherical but dotted with mountains and pitted with craters.
