Hitler Invades Poland

On Sept 1, 1939, Hitler began his terror in Europe.  Unleashing a blitzkrieg to crush Poland, he charged his troops with words like these:

"Our strength is in our quickness and in our brutality.  Be hard. Be without mercy."

The Second World War had begun.
