Inca Empire - Conquistadors Seek Gold

This image, from Poma de Ayala's chapter on the Spanish conquest and the civil wars, depicts a discussion between the Inka and a Spaniard.  The Inka asks what the Spaniard eats. The Spaniard replies: "Gold." 

It is drawing 147 (on page 369) of his book, The First New Chronicle and Good Government On the History of the World and the Incas up to 1615.
