Ivan the Terrible - Admiring His Wife

After the death of his first wife, Anastasia, Ivan the Terrible was devastated.  He married seven more times. 

This painting depicts the Tsar, in his later years, admiring his sleeping wife, Vasilisa Melentyevna.
