Kentucky - Ratifies the 19th Amendment

Edwin P. Morrow, governor of Kentucky, signs the state's ratification of the 19th Amendment. The Kentucky General Assembly had approved ratification by a vote of 72 to 25 in the House and 30 to 8 in the Senate.

Kentucky was one of four Southern states to approve the proposed amendment. It became law on August 26, 1920 (after Tennessee confirmed an earlier ratification).
