300 - Lance and Quiver of the ImmortalsThis image, of a lance and quiver, is from a freize originally located at the palace of Xerxes in Susa (one of the Persian Empire's four capital cities). It is now maintained at the Louvre in Paris. Scholars believe the freize depicts the type of lance and quiver used by members of Xerxes' personal bodyguard (called the Immortals).
