Orson Welles adapted Victor Hugo's masterpiece, Les Miserables, for the radio. Aired in seven parts, this is Episode 1. Welles plays the role of Valjean, in this broadcast, and also reads from the book which Frederick Douglass called his favorite. NOTE: Remaining Episodes of the Story:
