Michael ("Bugsy") Moran

Michael Moran - a shipmate of Bobby Shatford - was from Florida. Everyone called him "Bugsy," and everyone liked him:

Bugsy, like the Captain - Billy Tyne - drove to Gloucester from Florida to crew on the Andrea Gail:

The Andrea Gail is one of the biggest moneymakers in Gloucester harbor, and Billy Tyne and Bugsy Morgan have driven all the way from Florida to grab sites onboard. (The Perfect Storm, page 30.)
