Nikita Khrushchev - 28 October 1962 Letter Ending Crisis
On the 28th of October, 1962, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev sent President John F. Kennedy a letter which effectively ended the Cuban Missile Crisis. In that letter, which was distributed by the TASS News Agency throughout Europe, Khrushchev agreed to dismantle the missiles in Cuba. This image is the official English version of that letter.
