Pope Leo I - Called the GreatRaphael (the Italian artist) created this painting of Pope Leo I (also known as Pope Leo the Great) in 1518. It was centuries after the Pope died, in 461. He is most famously known for persuading Atilla the Hun to give-up his plan to attack and pillage Rome.
