Renaissance Artist - The Divine Michelangelo, Part 5

Not sure he would actually be paid by the French Cardinal, who'd commissioned the Pieta, Michelangelo worked hard and lived frugaly.  His efforts were worthwhile - he was paid handsomely for his work.

The Pieta was Michelangelo's great breakthrough.  It is now at the Vatican - in St. Peter's Basilica.

When he completed the famous sculpture, Michelangelo was twenty-five years old, and still relatively unknown.
