RFK - Suffering After JFK's Death

RFK last saw his brother alive when the President stopped by Bobby's home, Hickory Hill, to wish him "Happy Birthday."  It was the day before JFK left for Dallas, and Bobby had just turned thirty-nine.

Later in the week, when President Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, Bobby was utterly shaken.  Searching for some meaning, in what had happened, he began to read the Greek classics.  Through his own suffering, he began to sense the suffering of others.

He decided to run for the U.S. Senate, representing the people of New York and forging a new career without Jack at his side.
