Roger Boisjoly - Warned Morton Thiokol About O-ringsRoger Boisjoly, an engineer at Morton Thiokol, was very concerned about the potential for O-ring failures during shuttle flights. He tried, unsuccessfully, to convince his employer to form a task force whose members could seriously study the problem. He also warned against Challenger's STS 51-L launch if the weather was too cold on the morning of the scheduled mission. His advice was not followed and his warning were unheeded.
