Spanish Flu - Drawing Water to Assist a PatientThis nurse, one of many who cared for Spanish-Flu patients during the Pandemic of 1918-19, gets her water from an outside pump. Health-care providers, taking care of patients on the home front, were all at risk for contracting the deadly virus during World War One. Sometimes masks helped; sometimes they didn't.
