Drawing prepared by Thomas Clarkson, and his committee colleagues, to show the number of slaves on board ship (legally permitted by the Regulated Slave Trade Law of 1788) was still way too high.

Note, especially, "Plan of the Lower Deck with the Stowage of 292 Slaves - 130 of These Being Stowed Under the Shelves..."
