Vatican Scavi - Tomb in the Necropolis
Below St. Peter's Basilica, in Vatican City, is a place called the Vatican Scavi. It is a necropolis filled with tombs. Only 150 visitors a day are allowed to see it. This photo gives a glimpse into what lies beneath St. Peter's. Click on the image for a larger view.
