When Rupert Potter was unable to lease his preferred home in Scotland for the summer of 1882, he decided that his family would travel to Britain’s Lake District. Regarded by many as the most picturesque area of England, the Lake District remains unspoiled and is inextricably associated with Beatrix Potter.
