Murder in the name of God. For thousands of years, this contradiction in terms has provided mankind with an excuse to kill people. Self-appointed "agents of God" (like the Inquisitors) sent shock waves into the countryside. Few showed any mercy to their pitiful victims.

After the Reformation, Protestants and Catholics killed each other for opposing views. Each side believed only it was theologically correct.

A journey across the Atlantic led to a new law that guaranteed religious freedom. This story takes a brief look at religious persecution and events that led to the creation of America’s First Amendment.
