Aquincum Ruins

Aquincum Ruins Geography World History Ancient Places and/or Civilizations

Rome founded the town of Aquincum, along the west bank of the Danube in the country known today as Hungary.  These are some of the ruins of a town which scholars believe may have been used by Attila, the Hun.

Aquincum was situated in the Roman province of Pannonia.  Today these ruins are located in the city of Budapest, the capital city of Hungary.
