Aristotle's School - Place of Study for Alexander the Great

Aristotle's School - Place of Study for Alexander the Great Geography Philosophy Social Studies World History Ancient Places and/or Civilizations

These ruins are believed to be the remains of the school where Aristotle taught the young Alexander, prince of Macedon.  Aristotle opened his royal school after arriving in Pella (then the capital city of Macedonia).  At the time, the school was in a town called Mieza (known today as Naoussa).
