Bataan Defenders - Steel Bridge Destroyed History World History World War II Visual Arts

Image of a photograph depicting a steel bridge that had been destroyed as American and Filipino troops prepared to defend the Philippines against Japan's assault. 

This work was performed by soldiers who had insufficient supplies, particularly food.  The U.S. federal government did not have enough wherewithal to supply these men with what they needed.
