Depiction of a brief skirmish at Lexington, Massachusetts which took place on the 19th of April, 1775.
About forty (of seventy-seven) colonial minutemen formed ranks and stood ground against approximately seven hundred British soldiers who were marching to Concord. The battle is known as the first of the American Revolution.
