Boarding Titanic in Queenstown (Cobh)

Boarding Titanic in Queenstown (Cobh)

Because Cork Harbor did not have a large-enough dock for Titanic, passengers leaving (or boarding) the ship were transported by tenders.

In this photo - taken by Frank Browne (later known as Father Browne) - we see two tenders (the Ireland and America) side-by-side as passengers board Titanic.

When Titanic weighed anchor, leaving Cork Harbor, her next scheduled port-of-call was New York City.
