Chimpanzees - Encounters with Jane Goodall

Is it possible for "wild chimpanzees" to interact with humans? In this "One on One" interview, Dr. Jane Goodall describes her most significant encounter with the chimpanzees she has studied.

It was Dr. Goodall who, on the 4th of November in 1960, observed chimpanzees creating tools at Tanzania’s Kasakela Chimpanzee Community. It was the first-reported time that anyone had observed such behavior in non-human animals.
