Commemorative Marker: Operation Restore Hope

Commemorative Marker:  Operation Restore Hope American History Social Studies Disasters

This marker commemorates the 1993 bloody battle in Mogadishu in which eighteen men died and eighty-four were wounded.  The mission was part of Operation Restore Hope, originally intended to help the Somali people who were starving due to famine in their country.
