Congress Rewards the Spy Catchers

In November of 1780, the United States Congress rewarded the three militiamen who apprehended John Andre and found the documents he'd received from Benedict Arnold.

Each man was awarded an annual sum of $200 for the rest of his life for uncovering the plot.  This image depicts the resolution of Congress resulting in that action.  In addition, each man received a silver medal from the Board of War.
