Death of Pablo Escobar in Medellin

Colombian police had been trying to capture Pablo Escobar for a very long time. Then, in December of 1993, they located him.

On December 2, 1993, members of the Search Bloc—a special police unit tasked with finding Pablo Escobar—were able to track him from a lengthy conversation he'd had, by phone, with his son.

The notorious drug trafficker was killed on the roof of the house as he was trying to escape.
