Edgar and Virginia Poe - Cottage Nineteenth Century Life American History Famous People Social Studies Visual Arts

Edgar Allan Poe found a cottage near Fordham University, in The Bronx, where his wife Virginia could breathe clearer air.  The Bronx then was much different than the Bronx today.  The Poe cottage was surrounded by trees and open spaces.
