Fishing Boats at Sea, Drawing by van Gogh Famous People Social Studies Tragedies and Triumphs Nineteenth Century Life Visual Arts

Using a pencil, reed pen, quill and black ink - on wove paper - Vincent van Gogh made a drawing known as "Fishing Boats at Sea."  

He created this drawing between August 6-8, 1888, while he was in Arles, France.

Today the drawing is owned by the Musee d'Art Moderne, Musees Royaux des Beaux-Art de Belgique, in Brussels.
